About

I’m an undergraduate at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) majoring in Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) and I’m interested in all sorts of stuff, like electronics, hardware, fabrication, CAD-ing, Optimization, Computing, Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Weiqi, Starcraft etc.

The best way to get hold of me is through my school email: andrew_toh@mymail.sutd.edu.sg

I started this blog/website as a build log for the batt-mobile-towel-chibi-kart which was a go-kart I built in MIT while on a summer program there with Samuel Chin, my group mate. Following that, I’ve decided to expand it out to contain other things such as build logs of other projects and general Opinions about Things.

I greatly support the maker-culture and partly why I chose SUTD was because they supported it as well – everyone has access to 3D printers and laser cutters for free. I guess that’s why we have one of the highest tuition fees. But also utterly worth it. Another reason why I joined SUTD was because of all the people – everyone is somehow crazy about something, in a way which I find extremely effective for exploration and development.

Those who assume hypotheses as first principles of their speculations… may indeed form an ingenious romance, but a romance it will still be. – Roger Coates, Preface to the Principia
